Chandigarh, Sep 2 (UNI) A priveleges committee of the Haryana assembly today recomemnded that former chief minister and INLD supremo Om Prakash Chautala be reprimanded in the House for showing ''wilful, delibrate disrespect and disobedience'' to the committee.

The recommendation has been made in a special report of the priveleges committee presented by its chairman Karan Singh Dalal amid a noisy protest and walkout by the INLD members. Mr Chautala was not present in the House.

The report took strong note of ''disorderly and disrespectful conduct'' of Mr Chautala while appearing before the committee on July two for tendering his evidence with regard to a breach of privelege against him.

''The rude, arrogant behaviour and misconduct commmitted by Mr Chautala...is unprecedented and needs to be viewed seriously. The disregard shown to the committee amounts to misconduct and contempt of the committee which amounts to contempt of the House also,'' the report said.

The committee said it was of the view that imposition of some exemplary punishment was necessary to uphold the dignity of the House to avoid any recurrence of such instances in future.

''To avoid recurrence of the such incident in future and to maintain the dignity of the House, the contemnor should be punished by way of reprimand in the House,'' the report said.

The INLD members, who had stalled the presentation of the report yesterday created ruckus today also. They came in the well and shouted slogans against the Hooda government.

When the Speaker named four INLD members, the remaining four members of the party walked out of the House.
