Mumbai, Sep 2 (UNI) Prices of Nickel cathode and tin slab in non-ferrous metals category today crashed by Rs 20 and Rs 50 per kg respectively on heavy offers by stockists on reports of bearish advice from London Metal Exchange (LME) along with Delhi, Indore and Kolkata centres, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange (BME) said.

Nickel cathode was quoted lower at Rs 1030 per kg and tin slab at Rs 1090 per kg on sluggish demand from industrial users induced by discouraging advice from LME along with Kolkata, Delhi, Indore and other centres.

Similarly, copper wire bars, zinc slab and lead ingots fell by Rs 200, Rs 200 and Rs 100 per quintal respectively in line with nickel prices.

In ferrous metals, copper heavy, copper utensils, brass utensils and brass cuttings also declined by Rs 300 per quintal on sustained heavy selling pressure by stockists, traders added.

Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: copper heavy - Rs 36,300, copper utensils - Rs 34,000, brass utensils - Rs 25,000, brass cuttings - Rs 26,200 and aluminium utensils - Rs 11,000.

Non-ferrous metals: copper wire bars - Rs 39,700, aluminium ingots- Rs 13,900, zinc slab - Rs 10,000, lead ingots - Rs 10,500, tin slab - Rs 1,090 per kg and nickel cathode - Rs 1,030 per kg.
