Haryana sends fodder for flood-hit Bihar
Chandigarh, Sep 2 (UNI) The Deputy Commissioner of Rohtak Division, S P Gupta flagged off 41 fodder filled rakes of train for livestock in the flood-affected areas of Bihar.
Speaking on this occasion Mr Gupta said last evening Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda had already announced a sum of Rs 5 crore to provide relief to the people of Bihar in this time of crisis and also assured them all other possible help.
Mr Gupta expressed gratitude to the officers as well as employees of the Panchayat Department for collecting huge quantity of fodder in a short period.
Deputy Commissioner of Karnal, B S Malik said people of the District had collected 500 quintal of rice and 200 quintal of flour which would be sent to Bihar later.
