New Delhi, Sep 2 (UNI) GEO India 2008, following the successful model set by the GEO Bahrain conferences, will be held for the first time in the country from September 17-19 at Expo XXI in Greater Noida.
The event will feature an extensive technical program built around the theme-- Investing in Geoscience to Secure the Future.
The event is being organised by the Association of Petroleum Geologists-India (APG), the Society of Petroleum Geophysicists-India and the Society of Petrophysicists and Well Log Analysts-India, in association with American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG).
''GEO India will expand upon the highly successful APG conferences and exhibitions run since 2002,'' said D K Pande, the Director of exploration for the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) in India and Chairman of the event's Executive Committee.
''With a highly technical conference programme, workshops, field trips and an exhibition of international significance, we expect the event to help ensure that oil and gas professionals in India and throughout South Asia remain at the forefront of the latest developments in our industry,'' he added.
