Raipur, Sep 2 (UNI) Chhattisgarh police have decided to donate their one day's salary to provide relief to flood victims of Bihar.
On the initiative of Director General of Police Vishwaranjan, police officials posted at the police headquarters and offices of Inspector General of Police and Superintendent of Police besides other offices had decided to donate their one day's salary through the Controlling Officer.
A collection of about Rs 50 lakh was estimated from more than 40,000 police personnel across the state.
The amount thus collected would be sent to Bihar's Chief Minister Assistance Fund through Chhattisgarh CM Assistance Fund.
