Wi Fi facility would be available in Bhopal, Indore
Bhopal, Sep 1 (UNI) Wireless Internet (Wi Fi) facility would be available in Bhopal and Indore cities of Madhya Pradesh in the next three months.
Madhya Pradesh Information Technology Minister Kailash Vijaywargiya told a press conference here that an agreement had been reached out by the government and New Delhi-based Communications Private Limited.
The company would invest more than Rs 200 crore in the next three months for making the facility available in both cities.
He claimed that an initiative to set Wi Fi facility was made in Pune and Bengaluru but did not fructify. The two cities would become first in the country to provide such facilities.
The minister said the Wi Fi facility would prove quite useful with the viewpoint of security.
Besides, the government had signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) for setting up 'Centre of Excellence' in polytechnic college in the state capital and engineering colleges in Jabalpur, Rewa, Ujjain and Sagar wherein students would be provided computer-based training to provide them employment.
