Floods spell bounty for boat makers
Sonbarsa/Purnia, September 1, 2008 : Floods have spelt bounty for boat makers in the flood hit Bihar state. The boat makers are making good money as the demand for boats has increased manifolds emerging as the only means of transport in the inundated area.
One boat costs approximately rupees 6,000 to 15,000 and despite the fact the people are hard pressed for money due to the floods, they are forced to purchase the boats.
