Govt offers affordable packages for tourists to Agra
Agra, Sep 1: Government has launched a special drive to promote affordable tourism in the state and has offered economical packages for foreign and home tourists who want to visit the historical places of Agra--the city of Taj.
The Delhi office of the Tourism Department of the state has arranged one-day, two-day and three-day visit to Agra and Fatehpur Sikri at a price much lower than what is charged by private companies.
State Tourism Minister Vinod Singh said that their aim was to make the pleasure of enjoying the beauty and grandeur of the historical places of the state within the reach of the commonman.
The one-day, two-day and three-day packages will cost Rs 999, Rs1999 and Rs 2999 respectively and will have travel in AC buses, free lodging, food and other charges like entrance fee to monuments and guide fees.
The buses will leave for Agra from the State Tourism office at Chandralok Building, 36 Janpath at 7 am.
