JK: Relaxation in curfew in Srinagar
Srinagar, Sep 1: Even as indefinite curfew remained in place here and other major towns in the Kashmir valley for the ninth day running today, it was relaxed in the downtown areas here, barring four police stations, for two hours.
Official sources said the curfew in Srinagar city and its outskirts except in the areas falling under the jurisdiction of police station M R Gunj, Safakadal, Nowhatta and Khanyar, was relaxed from 1130 hrs to 1330 hrs.
There was no report of any untoward incident during the relaxation period so far.
However, in Kulgam and Bandipora day curfew was lifted.
