Chennai, Sep 1 (UNI) NAPC Properties, a division of NAPC, today announced a strategic partnership with Maverick Fitness, one of the leaders in the fitness arena, to facilitate rapid expansion of Maverick Fitness.
Addressing a press conference here, Mr Krishnaraj, Managing Director, Maverick Fitness, said the partnership would help accelerate the number of centres from the present four to 25 in three years.
"In the next three to four months, we will set up three centres in Coimbatore, Madurai and Valecherry and by the end of this year, five more centres in Tirupur, Salem, Tiruchirapalli, Alwarpet and Ashok Nagar," he said.
Each centre would be established involving an investment of Rs two to Rs 2.5 crore, he said, adding the company would invest about Rs 60 crore to set up 25 centres in next three years.
"We will venture into Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka by setting up centres in Hyderabad and Bangalore," Mr Krishnaraj said.
Mr Varun Manian, Managing Director, NAPC Properties, said the company would select places and help Maverick to set up the centres.
NAPC and Maverick would share the revenue under 40:60 per centage basis, he said.
Mr Shankar Babu, CEO, Maverick, said changing lifestyle and food habits had taken a toll on healthy living and a trained expert advice on keeping fit had become an untold necessity.
He said fitness awareness among the people of this metropolis was at a dismal low as just one per cent of the people in the city do organised fitness schedule.
