Indore, Sep 1 (UNI) Declaring the Jammu and Kashmir government's decision of re-alloting the disputed land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board as a significant step, Bharatiya Janata Party's senior leader Sushma Swaraj today dubbed it as people's victory.
''Sixty days spent in taking back 100 acres of land but during that period every woman and child came on the road to protest the decision and hence we got it back,'' Ms Swaraj told journalists in 'Meet to Press' programme here today.
She said Jammu's public did not agitate under any political banner and carried on such a big struggle on its own.
''It is not BJP which always raises religious issues but this time the Centre itself provided us,'' she said.
Ms Swaraj claimed that BJP would retain power in the next Assembly polls scheduled this year.
