L K Advani to make aerial survey of flood affected north Bihar
Patna, Sept 01 (UNI) Senior BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani will conduct an aerial survey of the flood affected north Bihar districts tomorrow.
Party sources here today informed that Mr Advani, accompanied by JD(U)President Sharad Yadav and several senior BJP leaders, would arrive here tomorrow morning by a special aircraft.
He would soon leave for the flood affected areas in an IAF helicopter for aerial survey to get a first hand knowledge about the disaster.
Mr Advani would return here in the afternoon.
Before leaving for New Delhi Mr Advani is scheduled to address the media.
On August 28 Prime minister Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi along with several other central leaders also made an aerial survey of the flood affected Madhepura, Supoul and Araria districts.
Later declaring the situation as national calamity, the Prime Minister announced a financial package of Rs 1,000 crores and 1.25 lakh tonnes of foodgrains.
