HP Assembly mourns demise of Naina-Devi victims
Shimla, Sep 1 (UNI) The monsoon session of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly today began with two minutes silence to pay respects to Naina Devi stampede victims.
The five-day session started with the speech of Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal who paid tributed to the victims of Naina Devi tragedy.
The Chief Minister also expressed concern towards the people of Bihar's flood hit areas. Himachal Pradesh has released Rs two Crore for the food victims of Bihar.
The Assembly members also paid tributes to former member Desh Raj who died recently and conveyed their condolence to his family.
