CPM accuses BJP of adopting ''fascism''
Bangalore, Sep 1 (UNI) Communist Party of India (Marxist) today accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Karnataka of adopting ''fascism'' to remain in power permanently by luring legislators from the opposition parties into its fold.
Speaking at a seminar on 'Legislator's Defection for Money and Power,' organised by an NGO 'Janapada,' here today, State CPI(M) Secretariat member and former Legislator G V Sreerama Reddy said the present trend of defection was being encouraged by the ruling party only in the interest of retaining power and not to pursue any development.
Criticising vehemently the ruling party in the state, he said luring Legislators from other parties was against democratic principle.
