Chennai, Aug 31 (UNI) For the first time in India, a Tamil film was completely shot in Red One Camera, the latest technology to hit the film industry.
Produced by Project East West and directed by Arun Vaidyanathan, the film ''Achchamundu! Achchamundu!'', a thriller film, has Prasanna and Sneha in the lead roles along with Emmy Award winner John Shea.
With a crew comprimising of Hollywood technicians, the film was shot in New Jersey and New York locations over a period of 28 days.
The post-production was currently underway in the US and Chennai.
As per Hollywood method, the cast rehearsed the entire script with the Director before the film went on floors for the shoot, an official release said.
The Red One Camera has the capacity to capture colours and images at the best resolution.
During the shoot, the visuals were directly loaded to the hard disk rather than a film roll. This makes it easier for the crew to watch the rushes, as and when they require it.
Oscar winners like Peter Jackson and Steven Sodenbergh have used the Red One camera before ''Achchamundu! Achchamundu!'' has the honour of being the first Indian Feature to be shot using this technology.
The advantages of Red One Camera, includes accurate recording of the Visuals with a 4096 X 2096 resolution capture.
With less than 5000 Red One cameras available in the Industry worldwide, more and more directors were opting for this technology, following which the demand had increased.
According to Red One company, the wait period was one year after the reservation, the release said and added that the cost of the camera was Rs eight lakh.
