Photo electoral rolls prepared in Manipur

Imphal, Aug 31: As per the schedule fixed by the Election Commission, the final photo electoral rolls of all 60 Assembly Constituencies have been published by the concerned Electoral Registration Officers (EROs).

Chief Electoral Officer Shambhu Singh said the people as well as representatives of political parties might inspect and verify the finally published photo electoral rolls (supplements) copies in the offices of the EROs/AEROs.

One copy each of the final photo electoral rolls (in printed hard copy) and another in PS CD-ROM version in PDF format (in soft copy) of each Assembly constituency would be made available free of cost to the recognised national and state political parties.

However, due to privacy reasons and as per instructions of the Election Commission, the soft copy (CD-ROMs) for distribution to recognised political parties shall be in PDF format without the images of electors.

It was also clarified that those residual left out electors, whose photographs could not be taken earlier, can still come to the offices of DCs/DEOs and SDOs/EROs for capturing their images during office hours.
