Militants movement noticed, curfew re-imposed in Jammu
Jammu, Aug 31 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir administration today clamped curfew in entire Jammu city after some militants movement was noticed in Chinore area on the city outskirts, official sources here said.
''Following militant attack in Chinore in which at least nine people including three militants were killed on August 27, the curfew was re-imposed in Jammu as some militants movement was noticed by the locals in the same area during wee hours,'' a police source told UNI.
The militants were noticed by the people of Chinore area and they informed the police, sources said adding, ''searches in the area has been intensified while security has been tightened at all the nakka points to track down the anti-national elements.'' Meanwhile police sources also added that the militants may target the public rally, which will be organised by the Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangharsh Samiti, to be held today at 1100 hrs at Maulana Azad Stadium where at least over two lakh people from various districts are expected to take part.
