New Delhi, Aug 31 (UNI) Former Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani and Bharatiya Janata Party president Rajnath Singh today said the BJP, if voted to power, would completely resolve the issue of regularisation of unauthorised colonies in Delhi.

Addressing a huge rally in the Capital, called by the Unauthorised Colony Mahasangh, Mr Advani said if voted to power in the coming Assembly polls in Delhi, the BJP would completely resolve the issue of regularisation of unauthorised colonies.

Speaking at the rally, Mr Advani charged the Sheila Dikshit Government in Delhi of inaction in resolving the problems of unauthorised colonies and failing to make any headway towards their regularisation.

''The recent step to provide provisional regularisation certificates to these colonies is nothing more than a measure adopted with an eye on the coming assembly elections,'' Mr Advani said.

Mr Rajnath Singh described the move to give so called provisional certificates to these colonies and the holding of verification camps for the purpose as just an eyewash.

Presided over by the patron of the Mahasangh and former Union Minister Vijay Goel, the rally was attended by senior party leaders including Gopinath Munde, Ravi Shanker Prasad, Delhi BJP chief Harshvardhan, Leader of the Opposition in the Delhi Legislative Assembly Jagdish Mukhi, BJP MP from Amritsar Navjot Singh Siddhu, Delhi Mayor Aarti Mehra, party MLAs and councillors.
