As per section 32 of BDA Act of 1976 and section 17 of Karnataka Town and Country Planning Act 1961, it is mandatory for BDA to approve any residential layouts in the area coming under Planning Area of Bangalore i.e. BDA limits. However, in this case neither the BDA has approved the layout plan nor any layout plan proposals were submitted by company for sanction. Therefore, the buyers and the related companies are solely responsible for any problems emerging out of such layouts.
