Sehwag to open cricket academy in Jhajjar
Bhiwani, Aug 30 (UNI) Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag will open a cricket academy in Jhajjar to provide training of international standard to hone local talent.
This was announced by the star cricketer, who was accompanying Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda at a state-level function at Bhim stadium here to honour Olympic medal winners and other star performers at Beijing.
Besides the cricket academy, Haryana will also have an international boxing academy with all modern facilities in Bhiwani, the chief minister said on the occasion.
The boxing academy, to be set up by the Haryana government, would be named after late boxing Dronacharya Hawa Singh.
Internationally renowned boxing trainers would be appointed to impart training in the academy, Mr Hooda said.
