Killing or burying of women alive for honour, a justified tribal tradition, says Baloch Senator
Islamabad, Aug 30 : Balochistan Senator Israrullah Zehri has said that the killing or burial of women alive for honour, is a tribal tradition.
Responding to Senator Yasmeen Shah's statement on reports of five women being buried alive in Balochistan in the name of honour, Zehri asked members not to politicise the issue, as it was a matter of safeguarding the tribal traditions.
Senate Kamil Ali Agha, Leader of Opposition, condemned honour killing of women and demanded that the issue be referred to the Standing Committee on Human Rights of the House.
