Bangalore, Aug 30 (UNI) Simon Katich, captain of the touring Australia 'A' cricket team now in India to play the Tri-series today said the series will provide enough excitement that goes with any clash between the two countries.
The 'A' teams from Australia, India and New Zealand will clash in an ODI Tri-series to be played in Chennai and Hyderabad.
Attaching great importance to the current Indian tour, he told mediapersons here that good performance by Australia's youngsters would help them to get into the senior side.
''Opportunity beckons them in both spin and quick bowling department and the batters can also stake their claim to join the senior team,'' he observed.
Before the ODIs, the Australia and India would play two three-day matches in Bangalore and Hyderabad, respectively, with the first match beginning here on September 3.
Katich said, ''During the last seven years beginning in 2001, we have had some amazing games especially in Test cricket. The three-day games will not be different''.
