Heavy rains likely in North Eastern states

Pune, Aug 30(UNI) Heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.

Heavy rains are likely to occur at many places in Orissa, south Tamil Nadu, coastal and south interior Karnataka, Kerala, Nicobar and Lakshadweep.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Vidarbha, south Chhattisgarh, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telanagana and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. They are likely at a few places in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, north Chhattisgarh,' Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalseema, north Tamil Nadu, north interior Karnataka, and at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat state.

The south-west monsoon has been active in Assam, Meghalaya, Gangetic West Bengal and Telangana. It has been subdued in west Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat state, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Rayalaseema.

Heavy to very heavy rains have occurred at most places in Assam, Meghalaya, sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Gangetic West Bangal, and at many places in Bihar, Telangana and Andaman and Nicobar.

They have occurred at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Orissa, Jharkhand, Vidarbha, Marathwada, interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep, and at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Chhattisgarh, Saurashtra, Kutch, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
