Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, Aug 29 (UNI) The 8478/8477 Puri-Haridwar-Utkal Express and 2703/2704 Howrah-Secunderabad Falaknuma Express, whose routes were diverted already, would ply on the same route till September 15, south -eastern central Railway spokesperson said today.
''Utkal Express is diverted along Jharsuguda-Sambalpur-Ongole route. Similarly, 2703/2704 Howrah-Secunderabad Express has been diverted along Jharsuguda-Bilaspur-Durg-Nagpur-Ballarshah route,'' the spokespersons said.
The trains were diverted due to heavy rains lashing Orissa and West Bengal as it severely affected a few sections of the South Eastern Railway. The train traffic had not returned to normalcy so far.
Utkal Express would not put on track on its former route due to delay in construction work at damaged Kharagpur-Bhadrak line.
