Two years RI to tehsildar for accepting bribe
New Delhi, Aug 29 (UNI) A city court today sentenced a tehsildar to two-year rigorous imprisonment for accepting bribe.
Har Prasad Gaud, a tehsildar in the Office of Deputy Commissioner Kotwali, was caught red handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 1000 in front of the State Bank of India , Tees Hazari court from one Puran chand.
Puran Chand was an employee of Pooja Builders and was sacked from his job. In order to get his rightful compensation he filed a case in the Labour Court which subsequently passed a decree in his favour, asking his employer to give him Rs 41,452 as compensation.
He had approached the Deputy Commissioner's office for the execution of the decree for which Gaud demanded the bribe of Rs 3000.
Special Judge CBI A S Yadav has imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 on Harprasad Gaud.
