Supply of essentials improving in Kashmir
Srinagar, Aug 29 (UNI) Despite curfew and strike, 510 trucks carrying essential commodities arrived here while 471, including 154 with fresh fruits, left during the past 24 hours, an official spokesman said.
He said out of the 471 load carriers which left the valley for outside destinations, 154 were fresh fruit laden trucks.
The others included 23 trucks loaded with vegetables, 59 with other commodities, and 235 empty tankers after off loading fuel.
He said during the same period 510 load carriers arrived in the valley with essentials and fuel.
Of these, 167 carried rice, 38 flour, 24 sugar, 5 chicken, 10 fruit, 168 other commodities while 28 tankers carried diesel, 19 kerosene oil, 25 petrol, 18 LPG, 4 milk and 4 empty after off loading goods outside the valley.
