Sri Lanka crew nabbed by Coast Guard officials
Visakhapatnam, Aug 29 (UNI) The Indian Coast Guard Ship 'Sagar' today patrolled the exclusive economic zone of Indian waters and found two Lankan fishing boats and 11 crew in position of 75 km South-East of Harbour here.
A release from the coast guard here tonight said the boarding party embarked and investigated the boats. It was confirmed that the boats belonged to Sri Lanka.
The Lankan boats were monitored and it was found that the fishermen were fishing without any license or permit. The boats and the crew were detained and brought here.
The crew were handed over to the police, the release added.
