Puri Gajapati demands immediate arrest of killers of Swamji

Bhubaneswar, Aug 29 (UNI) Gajapati Maharaja of Puri Dibyasingh Dev today demanded immediate arrest the killers of VHP leader Swami Laxamananda Saraswati and award them with exemplary punishment.

The VHP leader along with his four disciples were killed in Jalaspeta Ashram in Kandhamal by some unknown assailants on August 23 last.

The Gajapati appealed to the people and the government to contain the violence on war footing and expressed his deep concern over the eruption and spread of violence to different places in the wake of the assassination of Swami Laxmananada Saraswati Condemning the attack on innocent people, he said if there was any difference the people should resolve it through mutual discussion.

Violence was against all religious, human values and was not in conformity with the religious tradition and ethics of India's Sanatan dharma, the Puri king said.
