Gas under Deepam Pathakam not being sold in open: Minister
Hyderabad, Aug 29 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Minister for Food and Civil Supplies K V Krishna Reddy here today denied the allegation that the gas connections sanctioned under "Deepam Pathakam" were being sold in the open market.
Replying to a question raised by K Janardhana Reddy (Cong) he said the gas connections, which were being sanctioned to the really poor beneficiaries, were not being sold in the open market.
He said 24,059 LPG connections were sanctioned under Deepam Scheme in Secunderabad in cantonment area.
He also denied the charge that the officials were not involving the public representatives in the allotment of gas connections.
