Dr Jivan's wife, two drivers discharged in Kidney-scam case
Ambala, Aug 29 (UNI) The Special CBI Magistrate Abdul Majid today discharged Pooja, wife of Kidney scam accused, Dr Jiwan and two drivers in the much-publicised case.
Pooja and the two drivers, Umesh and Harpal, were already on bail and had sought to be discharged from the case.
Pooja had pleaded that she had been named in the case on the ground of suspicion because she was wife of Dr Jiwan, an accomplice of the the prime accused Dr Amit Kumar.
Umesh and Harpal claimed that they worked as drivers and had no knowledge about the affairs with regard to the kidney scam.
All the accused including the kingpin Dr Kumar were present in the special CBI court.
The court fixed September three as the next date for hearing in the case.
