Animals of Patna Zoo faces the problem of infection
Patna, Aug 29 (UNI) The animals of Patna zoo now a days faced frequent health problems due to precarious condition of the rain affected Patna zoo.
The Director of Patna Zoo Rakesh Kumar said due to heavy rain this year the zoo faced the problem of water logging. Water accumulated in different parts of the zoo to live in this filthy accumulated water, the animals were easily infected. They developed various types of diseases.
The situation became more critical as there was no developed veterinary clinic equipped with all the required medical facilities.
The zoo authority said they immediately need more technical staffs and other medical equipments to provide better treatment to the ailing inmates of the zoo.
Meanwhile, the zoo covered 153 acres of land providing shelter to 1,100 animals.
