15, including 5 minors killed in separate incidents in UP

Lucknow, Aug 29 (UNI) At least 15 people, including five children, were killed and 12 others grievously injured in separate incidents in Uttar Pradesh in the last 24 hours.

According to police, one Ram Jeevan was crushed to death under the wheels of speeding truck in Kakori area of the state capital, whereas 20-year-old Neeta got electrocuted in Kaisarbagh area.

In Lakhimpur Kheri, three people, including a two-year-old, were killed and six other sustained serious injuries when their jeep collided against a tractor-trolly at Bahraich-Lakhimpur road.

In Sultanpur district, Chandni (3) and Subratan (58) were buried alive after their house collapsed at Kothrakala village in Lumbhua tehsil area, while a 65 year-old man died and his daughter-in-law bore serious wounds after a wall collapsed on them at Sri Rampur Lamauli village in Modigarpur area.

One Nanku Yadav (40) met the fatal end after lightning fell upon him at Bankata village.

In Kotwali nagar area of this district, one Asif Ansari was killed and four others were injured when their tempo turned turtle near KNI college.

According to reports fron Gazipur, family of one Nandu Ram was buried alive when the roof of their house gave way at Rat Vasila village in Shadiyabad area late last night.

Nadu's wife Indra Devi, children Radhika (4) and Ishu (2) were suffocated to death, while Nadu received grievous injuries.

Eight-yearr-old Shivan choked to death after he was buried alive in the debries of his house at Khandwa village.

Reports fron Pratapgarh said, a student Ashish Tiwari (18) succumbed to his injuries after being run over by a truck in Kotwali area here.
