Chennai, Aug 28 (UNI) A 28-year-old woman delivered a baby girl at the Central Railway Station Chennai early today.
Reports said that the woman, Chithra from suburban Thiruninravur developed labour pains at around 0500 hrs.
Accompanied by her father, they took an EMU train to reach Central enroute the Government General Hospital, situated opposite to the railway station.
She delivered the baby before she could step down from the train.
A woman constable, who came to her rescue, arranged an ambulance and admitted the mother and the baby to the hospital, where they were doing well.
