Three injured in animals attack in Amreli Dist
Rajkot, Aug 28 (UNI) Three people including two women were injured in three separate incidents when they were attacked by -- lion, leopard and neelgai (antelope) -- in Amreli district.
All the three incidents took place yesterday.
In the first incident, a lion attacked a seventy-year-old man, on the outskirts of Mityiyala village in Savarkundala taluka of Amreli district, official sources said.
The victim Bachu Jeswadia was attacked on the head, chest and back. Nearby farm labourers rushed there, scared the wild beast away and admitted him to Amreli Civil Hospital.
The second incident took place at Khambha, when a woman Meena Waghela (60), who was sleeping in her house, was attacked by a leopard in the wee hours yesterday. It had injured her forehead, throat and chin. She was also taken to Amreli Civil hospital, the official said.
In the third incident, a 35-year-old woman Hansa Khetariya was attacked by a neelgai (antelope), when she was on way to her farm at Mota-ankadia village of the district. She too was admitted to the civil hospital, the officials said.
