New Delhi, Aug 28 (UNI) Union Cabinet Secretary K M Chandrashekar will inaugurate a half-day 'Thinkshop on next Gen MCA21' here tomorrow.
The Thinkshop is being organised by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs with a view to further evolve its flagship e-Governance project, the MCA21.
To take the initiative of the ministry to the next level, an e-Governance roadmap is being designed which is expected to bring about a wide-ranging set of values to the stakeholders by taking a proactive approach. It thus becomes important to factor in the views and expectations of all the key stakeholders.
TCS MD S Ramadorai will deliver the keynote address. Mr Kiran Karnik, former NASSCOM President, will chair the deliberation session where eminent people from the corporate sector, professional bodies, regulators and the Government are expected to attend. The MCA21 was the first project launched under National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) and has proved to be a catalyst for promoting citizen centric service delivery mechanism.
It has created easily accessible interfaces, devoid of harassment and corruption, minimising waste of time and inconvenience to the public.
The MCA portal, which receives 1.7 million hits a day, highlights the ease with which procedures like approval of name, registration of a company, change of name of the company, and issue of certified documents, which earlier used to take several days, are being delivered on the same day.
