Nashik, Aug 28: Tension prevailed in the city's Satpur suburb today, following demonstration and stone-pelting by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) activists over damage to an MNS poster.
According to police, an MNS poster bearing a photograph of Party chief Raj Thackeray was found damaged in Prabuddha Nagar area of Satpur that led to the tension.
The activists pelted stones on a city bus and three other private vehicles, police said.
The board was inaugurated by MNS here yesterday and some dispute over this between MNS and Bahujan Samaj Party workers is said to be the reason behind the incident.
Police have taken custody of the damaged board, but had not filed a case till the last reports came in. Adequate vigil is being maintained in the area and the situation is under control.
