Chennai, Aug 28 (UNI) Former AIADMK Minister T M Selvaganapathy, who joined the ruling DMK after being expelled from the party, today described the AIADMK as a ''Private Limited company'', headed by Ms Sasikala, a close friend of party General Secretary J Jayalalithaa.
In a statement here, Mr Selvaganapathy, who had served as Local Administrtion and Housing Minister in the Jayalalithaa cabinet during 1991-96 alleged that the AIADMK was under the complete control of Ms Sasikala and ''her writ only runs in the party''.
The party, launched by late Chief Minister M G Ramachandran with the interest of poor and downtrodden alone in mind, was no longer the same AIADMK. It has became the personal property of Ms Jayalalithaa, Sasikala and her family members, ever since she took over the party after the death of MGR in 1987.
Now, Ms Sasikala has become ''all in all'' in the party as Ms Jayalalithaa had lost control and become a puppet in the hands of Ms Sasikala. ''The present situation in the AIADMK is that no one could get party posts, without the mercy of Ms Sasikala and her family members'', he said.
''Like a private limited company, which had regional directors, the AIADMK too has ''Regional directors'', who were members of Ms Sasikala's family, for every five districts and partymen could not get access to the High Command without their knowledge,'' he said.
The AIADMK headquarters too has become a Corporate office. ''It has no place for love and affection and everying is businesslike'', he charged.
The party received a drubbing in the 2004 Lok Sabha election, 2006 Assembly elections and the subsequent local body elections, but the General Council, convened by the party did not bother to discuss what went wrong, he alleged.
