Next round of talks between SAYSS, Bloeria deferred
Srinagar, Aug 28 (UNI) The scheduled next round of talks between the Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangharsh Samiti (SAYSS) and Dr S S Bloeria panel on the Amarnath land row has been deferred, an official spokesman said here today.
He said the talks scheduled to be held at Jammu this afternoon has been postponed in view of the indisposition of Dr Bloeria, advisor to Governor N N Vohra.
He said Mr Bloeria is in Srinagar and is likely to fly to Jammu for holding the talks with the SAYSS tomorrow.
Dr Bleoria panel, constituted by Mr Vohra to hold talks with the SAYSS to resolve the land row, had held three rounds of parleys with them early this week where in they agreed to meet again.
The SAYSS among other things, demanding permanent allotment of land to the Shrine Board.
The then cabinet headed by Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad issued an order in which about 800 kanals of land was diverted to the Shrine Board to be utilised for yatra during the pilgrimage period. However, the order said it would remain property of the forest department even after the board pays Rs 2.5 crore.
However, the Government had to cancel this order after Mr Vohra, who as chairman of the board said the land was not needed by the board, this followed wide spread protests in Kashmir.
Jammu is observing complete shut down for the past two months demanding the land back to the shrine Board while Kashmir is on the edge protesting against alleged economic blockade and attack on muslims and Kashmiri drivers in Jammu.
