Washington, August 28 : Aging sketch series 'Saturday Night Live' is all set to have Olympic golden boy Michael Phelps as host of its 34th-season premiere on September 13 on NBC.
This will be the first "acting" role for Phelps, who has become a poster boy in the U.S. on the back of his world-record-smashing, eight-gold-medal-winning performance at the Beijing Olympics.
Lil Wayne will be the musical guest, reports E!online.
Wayne is also said to have had the most successful year of his career in 2008.
Meanwhile, the MTV Video Music Awards is also said to have convinced Phelps to appear at the kudosfest on September 9.
