Chandigarh, Aug 28 (UNI) The Haryana Government has decided to promote 426 teachers to the post of headmasters in different government schools of the state.
Stating this here today Education Minister Mange Ram Gupta said that the promotions to the vacant posts of headmasters were pending for the last many years on account of variety of issues including litigations in the courts.
Mr Gupta said another 183 posts had been kept reserved for promotion which will be done shortly after getting the record of all the concerned teachers completed.
"Providing adequate and well qualified teachers and institutional heads in all government schools of the state has been accorded a high priority by the state government and it will also be insured that remaining vacancies of the headmasters are also filled up expeditiously," he said.
Mr Gupta also directed the officials to further streamline functioning of the Department so that employees are given promotions on the due dates.
