Security forces burst teargas shells in Srinagar
Srinagar, Aug 27 (UNI) Security forces burst teargas shells and resorted to lathicharge at Rainawari to disperse demonstrators immediately after a curfew was relaxed for two hours at 1500 hrs today.
Official sources said trouble started when security forces allegedly beat up people including women, at main Suratang chowk after the curfew was relaxed.
Hundreds of people gathered there and protested against the incident. However, when the protesters started marching towards the main Rainawari chowk security forces resorted to lathicharge.
When the demonstrators pelted stones, the forces burst teargas shells to disperse them.
