CPI(M)'s amusement park to open on Aug 31
Kannur, Aug 27(UNI) The Rs 30-crore 'Vismaya Amusement Park,' an entertainment park under the cooperative sector controlled by the CPI(M) in Kerala, will be inaugurated by Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan on August 31 at Parassinikadavu, about 18 KM from here.
Talking to newspersons here, Mr K K Narayanan, Chairman of the Malabar Tourism Development Cooperative Limited(MTDC) and the Malabar Pleasure (India) Pvt Limited, said CPI(M) State Secretary Pinarayi Vijyan would preside over the function at which Ministers Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, P K Sreemathy and G Sudhakaran would attend.
The ''Vismaya'' was situated at Parassinikadavu in Anthur village about one Kilometre away from the Muthappan Temple, the famous pilgirm centre of north Malabar.
Thirty acres of land was utilised for construction at a total expenditure of Rs 30 crores.
The amount was collected as shares from the 2,674 individuals and 86 institutions, said Mr Narayanan.
