Bhubaneswar, Aug 27 (UNI)Orissa Unit of the Vihswa Hindu Parishad today threatened the State government to either arrest killers of Swami Laxamandna Sarswati or face the consequence.

VHP state General Secretary Gouri Prasad Rath asked ChiefMinister Naveen Patnaik to explain why his Government had failed to arrest the killers of Swamiji even five-days after the incident.

Swami Laxamananda Sarswati and four of his disciples were killed at Jalspeta Ashram in Kandhamal on Saturday last by some unknown assailants.

Mr Rath said while the government arrested the killer along with some innocent people in Australian Missionary Graham stain murder case within a short period, the inquiry was still going on in case of Swamiji case.

He alleged that ''Christian Militants have killed Swamiji and Churches have patronized it.''The VHP leader said the Government had completely failed to protect the Hindus in the State and was under tremendous pressure from Churches as well as the UPA Government at Centre.

The Union Home Ministry was more worried for Christians than the Hindus,he alleged.

Mr Rath asked the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Sriprakash Jaiswal who was here to take stock of the situation, to ensure the arrest of all culprits, who killed Swamiji and urged him to refrain from making minority appeasement statements.

He also demanded a ban on the visit of outsiders to Kandhamal district.Hindu Jagaran Samukhya State president Ashok Sahu has criticized the State Government for its failure to nab the culprits.

Mr Sahu, a former Assam cadre IPS officer, alleged that the police was trying to cover up the matter and sheltering the killers.
