''I have won the bronze at Beijing but I will definitely win the gold medal at the next Olympics in 2012,'' Sushil told UNI after arriving at the Indhira Gandhi International Airport.''I am also aiming for gold medals at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and the Asian Games the same year.'' Dedicating his medal to the nation, the 66 kg freestyle wrestler from Baprola said he owed his success to the efforts of his coach Satpal and other coaching staff of the Indian squad.
''I am extremely happy that I won a medal for the country at the Olympics. I owe this success to the blessings of my countrymen and the guidance and advice of my coach mahabali Satpal,'' Sushil said.
Sushil dismissed reports that he was hindered by lack of massuers during his repechage matches.
''Massage was not a problem. Experienced people like Kartar Singh, Satpal sir and Ramphal were there along with the other members of the coaching staff. They were there throughout and gave great support to me,'' he asserted.
Overwhelmed by the riotous welcome at the airport, a beaming Sushil said,''I am very happy that I was able to do my country proud. My victory will infuse new life into Indian wrestling.
''There is no lack of talent in India. If the goverment provides better facilities for us then many more wrestlers will come forward and do the country proud at the international level.''
