Gogamedi pilgrims travel on train rooftops
Hisar, Aug 26 (UNI) Devouts, including women and children, were travelling in hordes on the roof of trains to participate in the popular Gogamedi mela despite sizzling heat.
''Never before have we noticed such a huge rush of Gogamedi pilgrims. Inspite of three special trains the passengers are travelling on roof tops risking their lives,'' station superintendent Radhey Shyam Meena said.
The rush was compounded as the Sadalpur track was being converted into broad gauge and the railway traffic on that route was lying suspended causing congestion on the Hisar-Jakhal route.
The passengers have demanded one more train for the Gogamedi mela season.
