DCs to look into complaints against medical institutes
Chandigarh, Aug 26 (UNI) Punjab government today authorised Deputy Commissioners-cum-District Magistrates to check any government or private health institution in their revenue jurisdiction regarding deficiency in public dealing.
A notification has been issued in this regard today so that every patient is provided proper medical care in medical institutes of the State and DC's could take prompt action against any erring institute, Secretary, Medical Education and Research Jagjit Puri said.
They could look into complaints from the public received against any Medical, Dental, Ayurvedic, Homeopathic or Para-Medical Institutes of Medical Education Department in their area, he said.
