Mumbai, Aug 26: An anonymous call received by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) last night, threatening to blow up platform number seven and eight at the Kurla railway station, turned out to be a hoax.
At around 2230 hrs, RPF control room at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) received an anonymous call, saying platform number seven and eight on Harbour line would be blown up on August 26 between 0700 and 1000 hrs. 'Rok sako to rok lo' (stop it if you can), police said here on Tuesday, Aug 26.
A Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was summoned, and they along with railway police searched the platforms thoroughly, but nothing was found.
Following the incident, security has been beefed up at all the railway stations, they added.
