Dehra Dun, Aug 25 (UNI) Cracking down the dissidence within the party, the Uttarakhand BJP unit has suspended three senior members, including former minister Lakhi Ram Joshi for anti-party activities.
The other two leaders include Corporator Satya Prakash Sharma and Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha leader Sanjay Darby, who were supended from the state BJP yesterday for making public statements against senior leaders, BJP spokesperson Vishwas Davar said in a press release.
Several party workers were also issued show cause notices in the strongest indication that the BJP would not accept intolerance from its cadres, Mr Davar said.
The BJP workers were asked to 'pull up their socks' and concentrate on the forthcoming Panchayat polls being viewed as a rehearsal for next year's Lok Sabha elections, the release added.
