Tata unveils first fully indigenous car Indica Vista
New Delhi, Aug 25 (UNI) Tata Motors today launched Indica Vista, the country's first and only fully indigenously manufactured car at price ranging from Rs 3,49,000 to Rs 4,88,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
Available in seven colours, the 1.2L petrol Safire will cost the customer Rs 3,49,000, while 1.3L Quadrajet is priced at Rs 4,88,000.
''There is virtually no carryover of the existing Indica in the new Indica Vista. It is certainly a step-up from the existing Indica,'' Tata Motors, President (Passenger Cars) Rajiv Dube told reporters at a press conference here.
The new car will be produced at the Fiat-Tata plant at Ranjangaon near Pune, which has an annual production capacity of two lakh units.
Tata Motors has invested Rs 1,700 crore over four years for development of this new car.
The New Indica will replace seven out of the 14 variants of the existing Indica.
