History-sheeter turned tailor murdered
Chennai, Aug 25: A history-sheeter, who turned a new leaf and was eking out a living by running a tailoring shop, was murdered by an unidentified gang at Abiramapuram Area of the city on Monday, Aug 25. Police said Arumugam alias 'Kottipulli' Arumugam (42), was involved in several cases. He had given up rowdyism sometime back and joined the mainstream by opening a tailoring shop.
A father of two, Arumugam was found dead with his throat slit, on the pavement near a marriage Hall. His body was covered with a bedsheet.
Acting on information, police rushed to the spot and removed the body to the Government Royapettah Hospital for post-mortem.
Police have registered a case of murder and suspect previous enmity to be the reason for the killing.
